Golden Acorn

Each year WHS PTSA gives Golden Acorn Award to volunteers who have given exemplary volunteer services to our school. This year's winners are Lynn Smith and Debi Niemi.

This dynamic duo has been our PTSA's Emergency Preparedness team for the past 4 years! They went over and beyond to get WHS storage units filled with up-to-date emergency inventory. They worked hard to get rid of the expired materials and advocated for fresh supplies.

Golden Apple

Each year WHS PTSA givbes Golden Apple Award to recognize teachers/staff who make significant contributions that enhance the education of students at WHS. We received nominations for close to 70 different teachers! Students commented on how they felt challenged, safe, and loved in your classrooms, and they appreciate how you go above and beyond to help them learn. As a community, we would like to thank you all for everything you have done for our students this year.

WHS PTSA would like to congratulate Katherine Smith, our Special Education Teacher, and Social Studies Teacher Jim Backstrom, who were presented with Golden Apple awards on Thursday, June 8 at the Moving Up Assembly.
